One day, a young boy is walking down a road, when a [beast] attacks him - a creature that looks nothing like himself, except perhaps in the way a mouse looks like a bear. Maybe the boy is carrying a lunch that happens to smell appealing, or maybe he's limping because his leg is sore. Whatever the case, the [beast] has decided that he is prey whose prize in meat is worth the fight he'll put up. And it would be right, for the boy cannot defend himself. He is helpless as the [beast] tears him limb from limb. He doesn't even understand why, because he does not speak the language of [beasts]. So he dies, for no other reason than the fact that the [beast] decided to attack him. When a man walks down the same road, he is attacked by a [beast] as well. But the man can defend himself. He fights back against the [beast] to defend himself. The [beast] absolutely refuses to stop attacking him, no matter how much he fights back.
